The Northwestern Mutual Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families facing hardship through comprehensive support and community engagement. Established with a mission to help those in need, the foundation focuses on two primary areas: childhood cancer and building stronger neighborhoods.
Childhood Cancer Program
Since 2012, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation has committed over $65 million to childhood cancer research. Partnering exclusively with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, the program funds more than 810,000 hours of research aimed at creating better treatments and cures. Besides research, the foundation provides family support during treatment and assistance for survivors dealing with late effects.
Strengthening Our Community
Focused on Milwaukee, the foundation invests in initiatives that improve education, neighborhood vitality, and overall quality of life for residents. With more than 33,000 volunteer hours contributed and thousands of employees actively engaged, it works to foster lasting positive impact in the city.
